Online live stream begins – 9:15 p.m.Lexus Hybrid Art 2012 launches with a lecture that looks at the future in different socio-cultural dimensions.The first guest of Lexus Hybrid Art 2012 is Chris Bosse, an innovative German-born contemporary architect based in Sydney.Bosse probably knows what the future will look like because he is building it himself, finding inspiration in such natural structures as soap bubbles, snowflakes and coral reefs. Bosse heads the architectural studio LAVA, whose philosophy is summed up in the phrase MORE WITH LESS: more (architecture) with less (material/ energy/time/cost).Bosse and his studio colleagues are now working on the first eco-city in the world, Masdar (UAE). In his first trip to Russia, Bosse will share his vision of how the urban environment will develop in the coming decades, discuss the car’s place in the urban infrastructure of the future, and critique the most vulnerable aspects of the urban theory and practice.
